I love summertime. From my travels between hemispheres, I’m managing to enjoy three summers in a row. Needless to say, this upcoming winter is going to feel extra cold.
Now, it’s not summertime without a good barbecue! When I’m traveling it’s hard for me to cook on the available grills because of cross contact with gluten or my other allergens. However, there are plenty of solutions from my own grill pan to my own indoor grill. For smaller things, you can always cook them inside of aluminum foil on the grill too. (My uncle does this with my corn on the cob when I visit him!)
I’m looking forward to making some of these recipes on a real outdoor grill this summer. And, no matter how you grill, these recipes will have you covered to enjoy a delicious summer!
If you follow my blog, you’ll know that all summer I look forward to picking my own veggies and fruit. And, my favorite season just might just be blueberries. Some bushes are sweeter and some are tarter. Nonetheless, picking your own blueberries makes for the freshest sauce when preparing these skewers on the grill! And, these are certainly a crowd pleaser in our house! (Don’t forget to serve it with a salad including all the other fresh fruit you picked!)

We didn’t originally make this recipe on the grill, but trust me, it’s plenty easy to do! In fact as the juiciest and most flavorful way to prepare a burger. (Fair Warning: I love this dish, but the bun is a little slippery for some.) So, when you’re grilling up burgers this summer, why not consider pairing it with loads of veggies!

This has got to be my favorite new recipe for Summer 2016. It’s simple to make, but so flavorful with the marinade. In fact it’s the bite and tang from the marinated onions that complete this dish, so don’t pass on those! 🙂
