3 Dairy Free Treats to Help You Cool Off This Summer!

I’m back home! And, for real this time. I headed straight to Universal Studios in Florida after my last trip home for an early summer vacation with my sister before surge pricing began this week. (That’s one of the good parts about college, you can just barely beat the rush to summer vacation spots.)

However with the real summer just around the corner, we certainly need some treats to cool off. Don’t you think?!

Watermelon Delight Smoothie

While in more recent years, I’ve begun enjoying healthier smoothies. This sorbet filled smoothie is always one of my favorite treats. It’s perfect for those hot, humid, poolside days!

The things you will need.

For me, the flavor profile is the perfect mix of summer fruits. (Strawberries, bananas, and watermelon were my favorite fruit as a kid.) And you can’t forget to rim of sugar to make this treat seem extra sweet.

Cookie Dough Pops

These are one of my favorite summer treats; however, the flavor profile may not be for everyone. (If you don’t like vanilla, then don’t give these popsicles a try.) I love them because it’s my favorite flavors from a chocolate chip cookie, but for when there is a summer breeze in the background. Yum!

Chunky Strawberry Soup

Who said you could only impress with dessert?! I like to make a soup with my fresh strawberries!

Chunky Strawberry Soup (GF, DF, EF)
Strawberry Soup is another one of my summer favorites!

This soup only involves two ingredients: strawberries and apple juice. So, it’s easier to make than the smoothie above. However, it never fails to impress my guests because the flavors blend in such a gorgeous way together. And, just a garnish of mint can turn this blender treat into a gorgeous meal.

That’s all from here! Next week, I’ll have a new recipe for you: Mojo Chicken! We had it last night for dinner and it was amazing. Be sure to check out my favorite summer meals, if you need anything to accompany these treats.

Thanks to this week’s co-hosts over at Fiesta FridayLoretta @ Safari of the Mind and Linda @ Fabulous Fare Sisters. I can’t wait to party with y’all.

Happy Cooking!

  1. Strawberry soup 🙂 yummy! I’ve had cherry soup (which I discovered when I lived in Budapest) but never strawberry… on my to make list! 🙂 I must get hubby to buy a watermelon – I haven’t seen any yet but he has! Hemp milk – something else I’ve not tried – maybe I’ll make some now so that I can make the cookie dough pops 🙂 Thanks for sharing all at FF 😀 x
