My Gluten Free Easter

Easter is almost here, and I couldn’t be more excited! My Easter Bunny tends to stick to Premium Chocolatiers and Jelly Bellies for most of my basket! Although, there are plenty of other celiac and food allergy friendly treats out there. 🙂

But that’s not all, Easter is also a time to gather with our families and enjoy some delicious dishes. So, this week, I wanted to share the dishes that I make for Easter! The blogger in me is slightly proud because this year my Easter post is coming out BEFORE Easter, so you have time to try them out yourself!

This is a popular side dish in my house. Not only is it in season, but despite using light flavors it tastes incredibly rich! To learn more or cook this dish yourself, check out last year’s blog post for the recipe! 

Springtime Cupcakes

The Little Duckling! (Can be made solely from the Tropical Jelly Belly Mix)

This recipe doesn’t call for anything specific beyond jelly beans. I use Jelly Bellies, which are gluten and dairy free. However, if you’re vegan there are plenty of other companies that you can try instead. And, then all that’s left is a bit of imagination!

This treat is great because your kids can decorate as well! While I’ll leave the cupcake recipe up to your own design, I particularly like my gluten and dairy free buttercream frosting recipe. And, don’t forget to read my original blog post on these cupcakes!

Now everyone needs a main dish, and I just recommend this one because I love the marinade and the idea of fresh herbs as we enter the spring season.  And, the flavor combination is simply mouthwatering.  Plus, if you’re traveling (and packing your own meal), you can eat this dish cold and it’s easy to store. Learn to make this dish by reading the recipe in my original blog post! 

As for me this Easter will be different because I’m still traveling my way around Australia! (Any chocolate from my Easter Bunny back home would be quite melted by the time it made it down under.) But, I’m thrilled to be trying out something new, and spending the holiday with some Aussies.

  1. I love your Springtime Jelly Belly cupcakes! I was just talking to a friend yesterday about all our favorite Jelly belly flavors. A couple of years ago, my kids bought one of those Harry Potter boxes where they had flavors like ear wax or barf. They had fun trying them, but I refused to try any!! 😀

    1. Thanks, Angie! When I went to the Jelly Belly Factory in California, my favorite (odd) flavor was lawn clippings. Hope you had a fabulous weekend! It’s time for me to catch up on fiesta-ing; I flew over 14 hours this weekend. 🙂

  3. Awesome post for Easter, Kaila. Those cupcakes are adorable, with the cost-effective methods of making those cute decorations with the jelly beans making it even more applealing! The carrot peas dish also looks delicious and fairly simple. Have a great time touring the country “down under”. 🙂

    1. Thanks! The carrots and peas dish is probably my favorite in this link up! I’m loving Australia so far. I visited the southern bit of Western Australia this weekend, and had a fabulous time. My favorite bit was certainly Bluff’s Knoll at Stirling National Park! Hopefully, I’ll visit Australia again and be able to do the northern part of the state because it sounds beautiful, but I can’t fit it in this trip! Happy FF! 😀

  4. Loving how great everything looks and how varied the choices are! I think the cupcakes look so incredibly cute and definitely seems like an easy project to do with kids, which will come in very handy when i’m babysitting! Happy FF!
