Patriotic Dairy Free Strawberries for the 4th

Happy 4th of July Weekend! From what I can tell, everyone seems to be trying to make this a 4-day weekend if possible by celebrating both the 3rd and 6th of July as well. So, if you’re already celebrating, then feel free to party on.

Today, I’m bringing you a patriotic dessert that I made dairy free from using a special chocolate bar from one of my favorite celiac and food allergy friendly companies- Premium Chocolatiers. (You can read more about them below.) For, now let’s see some pictures!

Patriotic Strawberries (GF, V)

Allergen Warning: Contains SOY (in the White Chocolate Bars).

  • Premium Chocolatiers’ Milkless Polar Dream White Bars (or any DF white chocolate bar)
  • Freshly Picked Strawberries
  • Blue Sprinkles

With the opened chocolate!

  1. Wash the strawberries.

    Strawberry Shortcake (GF & DF)
    Strawberry season in New England!
  2. Melt the “white chocolate.” I used a homemade double boiler, but you can do this step however you’d like.

Melting the vegan, nut free, and gluten free chocolate!
  3. Dip the strawberries in white chocolate, TWICE! (The melted chocolate has a very thin consistency.) Be sure to leave some red strawberries up top. Approximately two-thirds of the strawberry should be covered.

Once the chocolate is melted, you’ll be ready to dip!

    Now, do it again!
  4. After the second dipping, dip in blue sprinkles to cover the bottom third of the strawberry.

Now, it’s red, white, AND blue!
  5. Make as many as you need for our patriotic gathering. Let them cool, and enjoy!

    Lots of chocolate covered strawberries!

And, that’s it! Personally, I think the white chocolate is a little too sweet for me. (But, I’m not a big white chocolate fan.) I do love Premium Chocolatiers other chocolates. My favorite are the vegan truffles!

However, I did love how festive they made the strawberries turn out! Patriotic Dairy Free StrawberriesPatriotic Dairy Free StrawberriesPatriotic Dairy Free Strawberries

Well, that’s about it from here. I’m getting ready to enjoy a relaxing weekend full with fireworks, grilling, and maybe some time by the pool. This means that they are also perfect to share with my Fiesta Friday friends (even the international ones)!

Happy Cooking, and have a fabulous weekend!

    1. Thanks! Strawberries are one of my favorites too. I love that it’s strawberry season right now too. Happy 4th of July! Have a wonderful weekend. 😀

    1. Thanks, Julie! Yes, I like keeping the stems on them, both aesthetically (if I’m not covering the whole piece of fruit in chocolate), and because it makes them so much easier to eat. Happy FF, and have a great weekend as well! 😀

  1. these are beautiful! except, I’d just want to eat the melted chocolate…with a straw…maybe throw in some cookies

    1. Thanks, Amanda! I’m thinking about making them for another red white and blue holiday, but who knows, I may have a new dessert up my sleeve by then. Hope you’re enjoying your weekend so far!
