The Vegan Portobello Mushroom Burger

The Vegan Portobello Mushroom Burger

Happy Friday, Y’all!

Farm Stand Burger (GF, DF, EF)
Check out the Farm Stand Burger Recipe too!

My family LOVES mushrooms. It’s crazy because we all came to this realization on our own. My favorite way to integrate mushrooms into a burger is through the bun. In my farm stand burger, I use two portobello mushrooms to sandwich the burger! However, this can be a bit slippery, and it’s not up everyone’s alley.

Another great option is to use a mushroom as the burger, which is great for all my vegan friends! This recipe is simple, requiring a simple marinade. So without further ado, let’s check out the recipe. It’s filled with pictures this week!

  • Optional: Earth Balance or Butter (if you can have dairy!)

The End!

I need to make sure my bun is gluten free, allergy friendly, etc. BUT, for those without dietary restrictions, they can butter their bun and add cheese! The Vegan Portobello Mushroom Burger The Vegan Portobello Mushroom Burger Hopefully, you were able to follow all the directions! I love when I have the opportunity to use pictures instead of words. And, there weren’t too many ingredients in here. (But, if you have any questions, let me know!) To my Fiesta Friday friends, after all of my recent travels to Vegas, NYC, Disney, etc., I’m so excited to have a chance to relax and catch up on some sleep this weekend. And, who knows, maybe I’ll come up with another portobello mushroom recipe! Any suggestions?

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

  1. I love mushrooms too! SO TASTY! Except, I don’t love their price! Not a fan of them as a bun, but maybe ON a burger, but not as a replacement, I deff need all the meat I can get 😛 PROTEIN GAINZ, I am such a bro in the kitchen at times, and LOL AT IT BEING SLIPPERY, so true, and I once wrote something similar when I used tomatoes as a bun on my blog “not for everyone” HAPPY FRIDAY ❤

    1. I’m a meat lover, but for me the burger works well without the meat with regards to taste. AND, I can always get the protein in via a side dish. (Note: I eat small meals all day long, so they don’t all need tons of protein.) We just had sides of fruit and salad, but you could get your protein on a salad or another side dish of your choosing. 🙂

A tomato bun?! I missed that post! I feel as though my fingers would fall through the center! I’ll have to look it up, and see your trick. ❤

      Happy Friday!!!

  2. Nice work!! I’m just starting to learn more about vegan eating and I give you props for this post, it’s not easy making things vegan! I keep thinking that some of my recipes qualify and after giving it more thought I laugh at myself. Ummm… meat with a side of eggs and cheese is not vegan Steph, just stop trying. 😉 Happy FF!

    1. Thanks, Stephanie! I bet I’ll see a wonderful vegan recipe on your blog in no time! It’s easy for me to accidentally come up with vegan recipes because I have milk and egg allergy, so I never use those to products. When my recipes also don’t contain meat (or other animal products), I try to label them as vegan to help out my vegetarian/vegan friends. 🙂

      Have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Thanks, Lori! Let me know when you try it out. I’d love to hear your feedback. And, I like your picture too! (I’m pretty sure it changed this past week as well. If not, then I’m sorry in advance about my lack of observational skills.) Have a wonderful weekend! 😀
